Oil is seeping from the oil cooler fins!

The new one is discontinued, so I spent several minutes patrolling Yahoo Auctions.
Used parts on Yahoo Auctions are expensive, which isn’t ideal, so it’s a tough call.

It’s important to look at the photos and feel the seller’s kindness. Also, keep in mind the risk of failure when considering the price\u2014it’s deep stuff!

The component parts are basically the same, so I’ll compare them.

Only the J type has a different part number, but it’s interesting that G\/H are the same. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Looking at it this way, I thought the J type was special and could use anything. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Roughly speaking, when I measured with a meter, they seemed to be the same. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The number of stages is the same too, so I thought they were identical, but actually they’re subtly different.

\u2022 The height of the boss where the union fits is higher on the J type (roughly 10 mm, unmeasured)
\u2022 The oil cooler mount (lower) tab is shorter (it would be loose without extension).


It works, but without extending the tab it becomes loose.

What was supposed to be a simple swap ended up taking some time.
If your oil cooler is broken, it looks like it might work but actually doesn’t\u2014maybe it’s a trick question.
