It has a really simple feel to it.

We don’t just replace the harness\u2014we make sure it’s simple, easy to work on, and safe first and foremost.

We’re upgrading the oil cooler to a larger one like the Bandit 1200.
What we need includes
cooler assembly
hoses left and right
gaskets, dampers, and so on.

It’s leaking from the crimp fitting right now, so good timing?

Our shop has rubber mesh hose and a crimping tool, and we could go with OEM forever, but just because you have the tools doesn’t mean you should use them that way… we’re still thinking about it.

Mesh hose is durable, but the fittings are aluminum, so after a while…
nothing lasts forever. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bigger size is subtly nice… personally, I think it’s the best? It’s just the right size regardless of season.

It’s not suited for idle champions (though nothing really is…). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We initially considered a P-brand oil cooler too, but…

the mounting method is a strange sandwich structure
the lower side isn’t fixed either
the included hose layout is quite puzzling…

this time it’s going to be a lot of work, so we decided against it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

OEM is great\u2014it just fits right on\u2014truly magnificent.

Self-proclaimed reverse pull. It might be surprisingly rare. (labor-intensive) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You have to run everything through from here first before you can lay it out…

This is quite puzzle-like and niche. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once you pull it all the way to the right side, it’s just front and back from there. (\u03a6\u03c9\u03a6) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starter lead
ground lead
motor lead

Some models surprisingly don’t have these, so it’s good to research ahead of time.
If you’re going to keep it long-term, I think it’s worth buying them.

Moving the ground to the very front improves maintenance access too.
