This year’s rainy season is really coming down hard, isn’t it?

A few years back, there was a time when it rained for a whole month straight. Rain alone is incredibly troublesome.

But in recent years, we’re also seeing an increasing trend of additional damage like flooding and inundation.

While feeling like we need to live in a way that doesn’t upset this planet’s mood, I’m working away. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

This petcock looks pretty nice in a subtle way, but the pitch is a bit niche. Pitch 34 mm.
Hmm, very nice. The knob moves smoothly too. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There was more gasoline in there than expected, so I drained it all and replaced the petcock. (By the way, since it has a top box, the fuel tank is under the seat.) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I also applied rust preventative to the fuel cap. You can really feel the years passing.
A chemical I’m quietly fond of.

I’m not usually convinced by additives, but I think you can feel the difference with this CORE 601.
It burns better. <\/a>

Sometimes old gasoline comes out from customers’ bikes. Dealing with that is quite a hassle.
I put it in my commuter scooter to use it, or mix a little into my car.

Of course, this old gasoline runs poorly. It makes a rattling sound or vibrates tremendously.

When I add this, it’s like, wait, what? It gets much better.

I’ve been feeling lately that modern gasoline degrades really quickly. With the thought that occasionally using this might help prevent carb bikes from clogging up, I use it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I replaced the ignition coil.
The original coil had its wire modified. It looks like it was just plugged in.

I charged the battery and checked the voltage.

I cleaned up the wiring while I had things apart. I also checked the fuses. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I reused the air filter. I cleaned out the box. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I ordered an OEM one, but it physically breaks no matter what.
It seems like it has to bend at 90 degrees right away.

When you lift the tank (top box), the Across looks subtly cool, you know?
The serviceability seems good, or rather, it’s bad, I think. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’d like to talk about synchronization, but it’s a four-cylinder with two carburetors\u2014two barrels!
You only adjust one spot. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The wheels and tires showed no runout issues. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I also applied Guncoat to the small parts. The wheel bearings are in good shape too. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I cleaned the front and rear brake discs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I cleaned the brake calipers. Since I did an overhaul recently, the piston operation is excellent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rear brake pads were worn, so I replaced them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I replaced the radiator cap with an NTK one that I keep in stock.

Lift the front, open the cap, and bring it to atmospheric pressure. Clean and apply rust preventative to the inner tubes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
