Of course, Z-series bikes are welcome here too. <br>There used to be a shop called Gazel on Route 8 that specialized in classic bikes back then&#8230; <br><br>At the time, I saw the magazine ad and thought, &#8220;Ugh, I could never afford that! Inspection <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/DSC05689.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-39024\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The one from the other day was for inspection purposes, so we ordered a new one. <br><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2MUAdrY\">Daytona Headlight Relay Kit H4 Single-Light 95438 <\/a><br><br>This one is highly recommended! <br><br>The great thing about it is <strong>&#8220;the relay is mounted on the battery side!&#8221; <\/strong><br>If the relay is on the headlight side, the already-tight headlight housing becomes completely packed! <br><br>By having it on the battery side, you get much more freedom in how you mount the relay. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/DSC05693.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-39025\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As time went on, I made a relay bracket in a way that wasn&#8217;t too much of a hassle. <br>To call it a bracket is a bit embarrassing, honestly&#8230; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/DSC05694.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-39026\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is how it turns out. <br>Rather than using cable ties to secure it, keeping it stock-looking is nice even when you remove it! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/DSC05708.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-39027\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This time I cheated a bit and used dual-lock adhesive. (It&#8217;s removable.) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/DSC05709.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-39028\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It worked out perfectly\u2014there was just enough space. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/DSC05831.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-39029\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What&#8217;s that thing on the headlight called again? <br><em>Reserve lighting <\/em>\u2014yeah, that&#8217;s one of those common features from this era, right? It&#8217;s subtly fancy but unnecessary these days. <br><br>Reading the wiring diagram, I bypassed blue to blue\/yellow. <br><em>Reserve lighting <\/em>is goodbye. <br><br>6\/17 correction: The gray\/red bypass is not necessary. <br>For example, if you want to turn on the headlight indicator lamp when the light is on, you could supply power to it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/DSC05696.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-39030\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Let&#8217;s cut it as short as possible. <br><br>Leaving it long and bundled up looks shabby. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/DSC05700.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-39031\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I wanted to route it cleanly, so I ended up pulling everything out of the connectors and threading it through. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/DSC05701.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-39032\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I also changed the length. The switching side is shortened and routed outside the headlight housing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/DSC05702.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-39033\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It hides in this gap. <br><br>You could do it more simply if you wanted, but using a slightly modified off-the-shelf product keeps costs down. <br><br>Couldn&#8217;t you use just one relay if you&#8217;re not doing flashing? <br>Do you really need to plug it into the headlight connector? <br><br>Manufacturers have to put in a lot of thought to make bolt-on products work properly.
