Decoboco is quietly open for business.

The state of emergency has been lifted, but we’re still in a situation where travel outside the prefecture is being discouraged.

The roads have been getting congested lately…

This coronavirus situation hasn’t been all bad\u2014don’t you think there are many things we wouldn’t have seen or felt without circumstances like these?

Things like how we spend our time, work, possessions, and how we relate to people. In a way, we can’t deny that things had gotten a bit out of hand. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

We’re replacing just the rear tire.

It’s a Metzeler Sportec M7RR\u2014I think this tire is a real gem. \u2606 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s reassuring to replace the air valve every time. Or you could switch to an aluminum valve. (Though when people ask how long aluminum lasts, it’s a bit unclear…) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On stock wheels, the air valve position is usually not the heaviest point.

That means if you align the tire’s light spot with the air valve position, you’ll likely need more balance weight. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fork oil was nicely dirty. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Right side is Hyperpro, left side is stock.

Springs this long are pretty rare these days… The spring itself is quite heavy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We’re using Newtech synthetic fork oil.

Adjust the oil level and make sure to bleed out the air thoroughly with a vacuum pump. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The axle shaft was fine. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

I also cleaned the underside of the fender without taking it off. <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tire has a slight wobble (from before).

The brake disc also had a slight wobble. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The engine oil is black as ink… ELF Moto4 Race 10W-60. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We replaced the brake fluid with Golden Cruiser DOT4.

Change your fluid once a year, or at minimum every two years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rear master cylinder is seized and won’t come off, so we’ll replace the whole thing next time…
