The original has characters engraved on it, I’m told\u2014that’s some serious collector-level dedication.
We had a warehouse find from a discontinued item, so I installed it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was backwards. (I matched the length to the negative side.)

We stock various caps that are easy to work with. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Changed from spade terminals to a connector on the generator\u2014makes disconnection easier. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wiring goes straight to the MOSFET without going through the harness\u2014shorter wiring means fewer potential problems, maybe? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I used the starter lead wire from a Suzuki GSX-R1100 K-N series.
It’s nice and long.

Next I’ll try to find one from Honda.

When replacing the starter relay, I prefer to use the OEM starter lead. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s carefully equipped with a rotation-stop tab.

Honda offsets it slightly, so it’s a bit tedious. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The ground lead from a GS1200SS is a good length, so I’ll use that. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flag-type terminals like this are pretty rare, aren’t they? Hard to find retail sources. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main harness ground connection point also uses a connector.
We want to quietly boost safety. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After much deliberation, I finally figured out how to mount the fuse box.
That’s how I laid it out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the Honda fuse check and replacement work from the other day.

If I can find this terminal… the possibilities are endless, maybe?
