The owner wanted to install it, so let&#8217;s get it assembled. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/DSC05064.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-39610\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Oh, how nostalgic\u2014yeah, we had these. This one right here. <br> I&#8217;ve never sold or installed one for a GSF1200, though&#8230; <br><br> I&#8217;ve only ever fitted the SPL version from a certain place. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/DSC05065.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-39611\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It really is brand-new&#8230; amazing&#8230; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/DSC05066.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-39612\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now let&#8217;s take it apart. We did a carburettor maintenance a while back\u2014quite a while actually\u2014so it&#8217;s clean. <br><br> Hmm? Doesn&#8217;t the layout look a bit odd? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/DSC05067.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-39613\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We&#8217;ve quietly switched to right-side piping. <br><br> Even when it&#8217;s lying on the sidestand, it goes from right to left\u2014can&#8217;t really tell if it makes a difference. <br><br> But it does make hose removal and installation easier. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/DSC05068.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-39614\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The float chamber was in nice condition too. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/DSC05069.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-39615\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It has seven needle positions\u2014that&#8217;s pretty nice, though I&#8217;m not sure we&#8217;d ever use all of them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/DSC05070.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-39616\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two of the racing o-rings are really swollen and won&#8217;t tighten up. <br><br> This is bad&#8230; so we tried a quick test: maybe they&#8217;ll shrink if we put them in the oven? <br> Just very gently\u2014that&#8217;s all it takes. A heat gun might work too. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/DSC05071.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-39617\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They&#8217;re a bit snug, but they fit now\u2014glad that worked out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/DSC05072.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-39618\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We synchronized the carburetors and the installation is complete.
