The GSF1200 really is cool, isn’t it?

The frame is the coolest part, followed by the tank, and the engine is naturally impressive.
The meter is the same as the GSX1100G, so I’m not crazy about it.

Is this a rare bike? The GSX1100G (shaft drive) has a smooth design.
It’s quietly rare.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The Bandit 1200 and GS1200SS are a bit larger. They’re a popular item for subtle swaps.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The hose layout is a bit different because it’s wider.

The oil pan side layout is pretty much the same, with just a little anti-rotation feature.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The height is the same, but the width is a bit larger.

360 mm and 280 mm\u2014the difference is 80 mm, which is pretty significant.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

When it gets this much bigger, it might feel a little better.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

That’s how we got away with it.
When we replace the oil cooler, the turn signal that was mounted there won’t have a place to go, so let’s figure that out.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

We made a boss like this and decided to just bolt it on.

Even if we don’t use it, we can mount a GoPro on it!<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

We stripped the paint minimally and welded it.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

We made a turn signal bracket out of titanium, which is trendy these days.
*We added ribs too, so the design and solid feel might be even better.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

That’s how we installed it.

The longest part of the job was probably washing and drying the oil cooler.
