This week I’ve been going to inspections constantly.

My iPhone arrived too, so I’m learning how to use it~

An account I created ages ago was causing problems, and I’m still figuring out what to do about it.

Now I can use the GoPro app and apps that didn’t work before~ I’m really happy about it.
I was basically using a flip phone plus a tablet, but I’m amazed at how most people manage to operate such a small screen~

This is the third grip I’ve been agonizing over… (seriously)

They’re shorter than the catalog dimensions… (seriously). There are differences from what I imagined

After all, it’s Suzuki… Suzuki type. (The OEM stuff is a hassle.)

The rubber feels a bit harder than the genuine Suzuki version. Grips are deep~

Going back to the fender mounting from a while ago.
I had it temporarily fixed, but… let me do this properly.

The spec calls for a stepped bolt, but finding one is a hassle, so I’ll press-fit a sleeve.

Tightening plastic with a metal bolt is sketchy.
\u2022 Tighten too much and it cracks
\u2022 Too loose and it falls out
\u2022 Plastic shrinks and loosens

The safe bet anyone can rely on is tightening the bolt until you feel that “click!” of torque. I think. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ll secure it with an A+B+C strategy. C=double-sided… <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This way I don’t need tools on the back side. (Just remove the M6 from the front and you’re good)

I also did quite a bit of aggressive machining on other parts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It started surprisingly smoothly. That’s the benefit of indoor storage and a fresh battery.

Smoke was billowing out from under the seat… The generator connector is hot.

The wiring is hot too. Hmm? I wonder if this timing was good. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Only the base is damaged; the inside is soft and seems okay. The connector is where the heat built up. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I want to install the choke wire, so I’m removing the tank.

I used a Suzuki switch (with choke lever), so I went with Suzuki wire.

But then it doesn’t fit on the carb side \u2192 I have to modify the wire \u2192 modifying consumables causes future problems \u2192 so I make an attachment.

Lathe, mill, welding, and gun coating\u2014it’s surprisingly labor-intensive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I made version 1 yesterday, but… it was so bad that I made it a bit better.

By the way, it’s titanium (grade 2). Super lightweight. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since I’m gluing sponge on it, the size is a bit larger to account for that.
Polyurethane round belt <\/a> I think 3\u03c6 is the best for ease of use.
