Personally, I think “tight bolts! Crisp! firm tightening” feels safer.
If you dig out the hole a bit and press-fit a sleeve in, that’s good.

Sleeves like this don’t cost much, so when we’re in a pinch we source all kinds and keep them on hand. (Making them on the lathe is a drag.) <\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

We swapped the handlebar right out (no drilling needed since it’s OEM)

It’s one of those tools that gives you a subtle sense of satisfaction when you use it.

We use it on various stickers, the Dual Lock from earlier, and inspection stickers too.

This time we’re using push rivets and light double-sided tape on the back (as a fallout insurance).

We’ve welded a lock nut on so it can pivot on a single M6 bolt (for viewing angle adjustment).
