Lately, there’s been a string of issues in the videos, so I’ve been pushing and pushing through various things.
The work is complete and we’ll finish up with the inspection tomorrow. <\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The oil was fairly clean, but… it smells a bit.

That pwahhh~~~ smell. That odor is… <\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Disassembled and first wash. <\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

I was a bit worried…

but it’s not that deep. It’s in a shiny \u2606 (sparkly) condition. <\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

It’s gone… By the way, I finished it by hand. Still got plenty of room to go. <\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

We cleaned it with our shop’s super alkaline machine. Ah, it’s revived! \u266a <\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Second wash done, now we move on to assembly. <\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

We use the usual SKF oil seals. It’s SKF41K. K = KYB, S = SHOWA.

It’s better not to skimp on cylinder bolts\u2014replace them. Most are special…
It’s scary if you lose them. <\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The Motion Pro tool for installing oil seals is pretty good. <\/a>

The color looks nice and it’s easy to use. <\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

This is the structure, and the blue part doesn’t fall out.

I only have this one.

For one-off jobs, I work around it without buying. But if you’re doing multiple bikes a year, it’s better to have one. <\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The fork parts are all neatly organized, so it feels good. <\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
