I patrol Chiba Prefecture every week as a rule. I’m doing it now.
Somehow when people ask “isn’t there anything good?” <\/span><\/strong>I want to have an answer ready…
With that kind of service spirit, I enjoy riding around. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This week I headed to “Ikesu Ryori Aki” <\/a><\/span><\/strong>in Isumi City. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Purpose: <\/strong> Maintaining the bike’s condition (carburetor and battery) and refreshing on a day off. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Destination: <\/strong> An “ikesu ryori” (live seafood) restaurant in Isumi City, Chiba Prefecture. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Impressions: <\/strong> The happiness of being able to eat premium fresh seafood just a short distance from home. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The location is along National Route 128 <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It’s about 20 minutes and 15 kilometers from my place. Super close! (*\u00b4\u03c9\uff40*)
Since the direct route is close, I took a bit of a detour to get there. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There’s a rustic sign along the highway, but… I never noticed it until now… <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The parking lot has both asphalt and dirt sections.
It’s best to park the bike on the asphalt right in front of the restaurant. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now let me go in.
I was the only solo diner. Elderly folks who were already well into their meal were having a great time.
That’s early\u2014it’s not even noon yet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The miso soup and small side dishes aren’t in the photo.
Plus, two pieces of fried fish come later, so there’s actually quite a bit of volume. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s very delicious, but I’m starting to think seafood bowls and sashimi might not be ideal for lunch.
When it’s a bit chilly outside, something warm really hits the spot.

This GPz550 has a very thin low-end.
When you rev it, it’s not exactly blazing fast. Revving it continuously feels a bit sad.
I like the Zephyr 550 + Dynojet tuning character, so if this bike had that kind of feel, I think I could love it even more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the integration of this seat, side cover, and fuel tank is excellent.
You can get a solid knee grip.

It seems more carefully crafted than the Zephyr in that regard.
When I rev it hard and ride aggressively, I noticed some oil around the sprocket cover…
I have some maintenance tasks piling up, so I’ll check on it again soon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Occasional Ride: GPz550 Touring for Live Seafood in Isumi. <\/span><\/div>

Vehicle: <\/strong> Kawasaki GPz550 (ZX550) <\/strong>. Ride: <\/strong> Spring is almost here. I took my GPz550 out for a short maintenance ride to the neighboring Isumi City. Lunch: <\/strong> Enjoyed an amazing lunch at a local “Ikesu Ryori” (live fish tank seafood) restaurant. The sashimi was incredibly fresh. Verdict: <\/strong> Riding the torquey 550cc bike along the coast and eating delicious local seafood is the ultimate way to recharge. Living in Chiba is the best! <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
