  1. Front Fork Overhaul: <\/strong> Oil seal, dust seal, and fork oil replacement. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Steering Stem Maintenance: <\/strong> Bearing cleaning, greasing (replacement if spalling is present), and tightening to proper torque. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Purpose: <\/strong> Optimize front suspension sag and cornering response, restoring self-steering feel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Result: <\/strong> Responsive suspension and nimble handling have been restored. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    The previous shop could hang it from the ceiling, but that’s not possible now.
    I wonder if there’s a clever solution…

    The bearing condition is quite new and good, so we’ll reuse it.
    With this type of suspension work, simply disassembling and reassembling occasionally makes a subtle but noticeable difference. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Occasionally remove the speedometer gear and re-oil it.
    *The interior is sealed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Adding excessive grease from the outside doesn’t help, <\/strong>so let’s avoid that.

    Non-cartridge front forks feel sufficient these days <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    They’re light, easy to service, and just the best, I think.
