Today is one of those days where nothing goes right\u2014a disaster day, you might say.

First, the owner wanted to send the fork out for replating.

Once again, we entrusted the work to Toyo Hardening<\/a>, a company we absolutely trust. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keeping the snap ring groove and seal press-fit areas clean gives peace of mind during assembly.

These areas rust quite a bit, you know. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a light polish, the clearcoat started peeling unevenly.

I ended up having to do a light polish anyway. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The oil was clean. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The areas the owner can’t reach are our job.

I quickly and cleanly took care of them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It comes back better than new, so you can rest assured.

The dimensions are consistent from top to bottom, which is wonderful.

The OEM stuff can be pretty rough, you know. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We always use SKF Green seals.

There’s a black one too? Does switching to it subtly show that it’s been refreshed? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s better to replace the cylinder rod bolts with new ones while they’re available.

Most of them have special shapes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applying rust preventative to the snap rings before assembly is a good idea. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We perform a full stroke, then use vacuum to remove any fine air bubbles. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

This is how fine air bubbles come up.

While you might not see a dramatic change, we can deliver consistent results under the same conditions and quality, which gives you peace of mind. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
