A muscular bike like this probably won’t come around again, the B-KING.

This is the second time I’ve seen it, but… it’s incredibly massive. You can’t even see the tires? It’s that big. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Starting with the lever area. The oil had dried out and it was pretty parched. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The throttle gets cleaned and lubricated too. It was pretty parched as well. There was even a bit of rust forming. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The side stand gets lubricated too. Always replace the lock nut\u2014it loosens easily, so this should give peace of mind. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you’re doing work like this, you sometimes look at individual parts and think, “Oh, this could be useful.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The left and right pedals have bearings, so I lubricated them from the outside using a Bellhammer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Loctite… using high-strength stuff generously is a bit scary.

When you hear that “Eeeek!!!!” sound, you think, “Oh no, did I seize it?”

So I back it out, loosen it, and carefully remove it bit by bit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hmm, the disc rotation direction is backwards… probably, no, definitely.

Since this isn’t my work, I’ll leave it as is. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not quite… this button head bolt is weird.

And when I remove it, the position is… different. Wasn’t this bolt originally stepped?
What is this bolt anyway? A mystery. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

All ten being different is also a mystery.
I was like, what in the world?

Noticing it means ordering parts is essential, so it’s on hold. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Again with the high-strength stuff, I almost stripped it.

I’m worried it might end up stuck partway. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is this disc for something else?

The shallow countersink is concerning. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The inner tube is already done for, as I mentioned before. Plus the rust was really bad\u2014I was surprised.

I’ll lubricate and clean the seal area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I loosened the fork cap to atmospheric pressure. It’s good to open it up occasionally.


If you do this, always make sure to lift the front end. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I replaced the brake fluid with Golden Cruiser DOT4. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I applied rust-preventive lubricant to the key and fuel cap. Cleaning them occasionally feels great.

The radiator cap rubber had hardened, so I replaced it.

I replaced the coolant. You have to pull the hoses.
It’s a shame there’s no drain bolt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
