But then<br><br>a new contender appeared. <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/37WXJNh\">The INSTA360 ONE X<\/a> has been on the market for a little while now, and I got one.<br> And it&#8217;s used, too&#8230; seriously?<br><br>Wait, didn&#8217;t you just say<a href=\"http:\/\/insta360.com\/product\/insta360-oner_twin-edition\">the Insta360 ONE R just came out?<\/a><br><br>Isn&#8217;t it better to go with older models that have dropped in price and had all their bugs worked out?<br><br>What do you think?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/DSC03238.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-41212\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I wanted to co-mount it to the bottom case (to shoot from pretty low), so I made a clamp for that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/DSC03239.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-41213\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/39XDb9x\">INON Direct Base 3<\/a> <br><br>It has a 6mm hole in the center, so it&#8217;s very practical to use.<br><br>You can use it for all sorts of things even with co-mounting. It&#8217;s a bit pricey, though.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>*The anti-rotation corners stick out on two sides, so I ground those off. I also installed a helicoil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/DSC03240.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-41214\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This makes for a solid mount.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/DSC03232.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-41215\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/35FO64n\">Ball head mount adapter with butterfly screw<\/a> (it&#8217;s a bit different, but)<br>this part is the same as GoPro, so that&#8217;s helpful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/DSC03233.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-41216\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since the lens is exposed, I decided to use it in a waterproof case. Solid and flexible, spinning smoothly! \u266a Attachment and removal are a breeze! \u266a<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/DSC03237.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-41220\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/37ZbR97\">1 inch Ball Adapter QLM-BAL<\/a><br><br>With this, you can mount pretty much anything.<br><br>Personally, I use the same setup for everything: smartphone, Sony camcorder, GoPro, and INSTA360 ONE X.<br><br>The quick attachment and detachment is definitely a plus. If something&#8217;s going to break, you want it to be metal.<br><br>True to form, it&#8217;s designed so you can turn it even with underwater camera gloves on.
