CAM (Web Cam) #110<\/strong> is installed. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>However, it lacks the expected punch, and there&#8217;s **&#8221;something off&#8221;** about the throttle response and idle. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Hypothesis:<\/strong> Could the **&#8221;valve timing&#8221;** be off due to cam chain stretch or misalignment during installation? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Work:<\/strong> Using a dial gauge and protractor, I&#8217;ll precisely measure the current valve timing \u2192 adjust to spec. #110.<\/span><\/div><div class=\"cap_box_content\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Issue:<\/strong> The engine performance felt &#8220;off&#8221; despite having high-performance <strong>WEB CAM #110<\/strong> camshafts installed. It lacked the expected power and response. <strong>Diagnosis:<\/strong> I suspected the <strong>valve timing<\/strong> was incorrect. <strong>Work:<\/strong> Using a dial gauge and degree wheel, I measured the cam timing. As suspected, it was off-spec. <strong>Fix:<\/strong> Re-adjusted the cam sprockets to the correct timing.
