The rear definitely sags quite a bit. <br>I check the angle roughly. It&#8217;s pretty rough work. With 1G of movement, it might shift 1 to 2 degrees. <br><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2QFBNkn\">A digital angle meter is really handy to have. <\/a><br>For sidestand modifications and such, <br>being able to see actual oil levels and other measurements with numbers gives you tremendous peace of mind. <br><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2KEjmZy\">Since we&#8217;re not doing precision measurements, even an inexpensive one works fine. <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/DSC02563.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-41902\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We remove it and take off the sole and the stand extension rod. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"\u30b3\u30f3\u30bf\u30fc\u30de\u30b7\u30f3\u3000\u30b5\u30a4\u30c9\u30b9\u30bf\u30f3\u30c9\u5207\u65ad\u3000\u539a\u5203\u3000\u5e83\u5203\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/s4Ea08n-b54?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I use two different blades on the contour machine. <br>\u2022 For straight cuts, I use the wide blade <br>\u2022 For wavy curves, I use the narrow blade <br><br>The wide blade won&#8217;t curve no matter what, so it cuts pretty straight and is easy to work with. <br><br>*But if you mess up at the start, it&#8217;s hard to fix. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/DSC02564.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-41903\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Next, without the sole, I cut along the scribe line while considering various factors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/DSC02581-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-41904\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I scribe and cut, scribe and cut, over and over. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/DSC02567.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-41905\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/DSC02566.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-41906\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I cut out the sole and radius the edges. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/DSC02569.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-41907\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/DSC02568.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-41908\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I made a solid bevel on the stand side and welded it all the way around. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"854\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/DSC_0918.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-41909\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After cooling it down, I position the stand extension rod. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are various considerations: <br>\u2022 If I attach it at the root (bolt side), it&#8217;s easy but heavy to deploy <br>\u2022 If I attach it to the sole side, I need to account for possible leg contact and clearance, but it&#8217;s lighter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"854\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/DSC_0919.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-41910\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"854\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/DSC_0920.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-41911\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I position it so the boot doesn&#8217;t hit, with some clearance to spare. <br>And suddenly it&#8217;s done. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"854\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/DSC_0922.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-41912\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I painted it with matte black Guncoat. Matte black is definitely the most reliable choice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/DSC02579.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-41913\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/37ourI7\">The angle meter is sitting in a different spot than <\/a>&#8230; well, never mind that. <br>I tilted it about -2.6 degrees or so. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After installation, I set it at a compromise angle so I can fudge it a bit if needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/DSC02571.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-41914\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I replaced the pads. They&#8217;re about half worn, I&#8217;d say.
