It’s been a while since we’ve seen this GSF1200. You don’t see many GSF1200s anymore these days. I wonder if I’m the only one who thinks that the GSX-R series is what’s ultimately surviving… oil-cooled. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

First up is the oil change with Newtech NC50 10W-50.
We struggled with the usual Akrapovic full exhaust being stuck on as we removed it. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The ram air filter that’s gotten damp is showing signs of imminent collapse. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

If it crumbles and falls apart when you touch it, it’s already done for. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Caliper cleaning (rear). The condition is average. The piston return is a bit sluggish. We’ll address that in the future.
The pads were worn down completely, so we replaced those. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

It’s a Brembo racing caliper, but it could use a bit more love. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

After that, we lubricated various external points.
