Already June… I find myself thinking wistfully that half the year has already gone by.
With the intense rush around Golden Week still fresh in my mind, I’m feeling a bit of that May-June slump vibe. (Though I haven’t actually taken any time off…) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I need to keep up with this blog, which I’ve been neglecting. Here’s the latest SV650 job request. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

We replaced the brake master. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Since it was an ABS bike, we hit the “we can’t make hoses!” situation. I’m not a fan of Swage-Line personally, so we went with OEM hose plus banjo adapters <\/a>to handle it. Surprisingly, we use these pretty often. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We kept the tank bracket as-is and only replaced the fluid hose.
At first glance, it looks stock. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We installed the BABY FACE engine slider.

You know how motorcycle-related instruction manuals always have plenty of warnings like “Danger!” “Careful!” “We don’t know!” “Not our responsibility!” but often skip the actual important installation steps?
Maybe that’s why you can just search online… I guess it works out since it’ll only go on one way anyway. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We fabricated the fog light bracket from steel. Bent it, added ribs, and made it solid! Two-piece construction. We spot-welded and TIG-welded it.
Looking back at the estimate I made the other day… I have to say, wow. We even did a gun coat on it. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The customer said we could use the included bracket. I think tack-welding the bolts reduces the number of tools you need to use, which makes things easier. We painted it afterward. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

That’s how it turned out. It’s adjustable up, down, left, and right.
The mounting position was pretty tricky, honestly. The front fender and fork guard come up from below. But you want to keep it close to the light, and if you stick it out too far, the bracket could bend in that direction… and so on.
