My first SHOEI ever.
I’ve always liked the Glamster design, but I never quite took the plunge to buy one.
But this time, the SHOEI “Glamster BLAST” TC-2 in black and blue is absolutely perfect for me.

I spent a few days going back and forth in my head
and ended up heading to “Ichihara 2-Rinkan” to try on the Glamster’s fit first, and I went ahead and placed a pre-order.
I was expecting a six-month wait, but it arrived on the release date\u2014they’re sending it to me! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  2. Cool! <\/strong> The matte blue and black lines are a perfect match for the raw, iron-horse vibe of the Z and Katana. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Wide field of view! <\/strong> Classic opening, but when you actually wear it, visibility is excellent. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    I wanted to know the shell size. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    I wear either size S or XS helmets.
    The shell is common to a certain extent, and I wanted to know what the fit feels like, <\/strong>so I went to 2-Rinkan to try it on.

    I was surprised by the fit and lightness, just as I’d expected, and I ended up placing a pre-order and heading home (*\u00b4\u03c9\uff40*)
    Just like with clothes, helmets have sizes that look good on you and sizes that don’t <\/strong>so it matters.
    It would be helpful if we could see not just standalone helmet images
    but also “different models by height and weight” <\/strong>right?

    But then again, head size comes into play too, so it’s tricky… <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    There’s also a fitting service, but… it actually makes sense.
    Your head size is measured with a special scale \u2192 the numbers go into special software \u2192 recommended sizes pop out. <\/strong>

    In the end, adjustments only go one way\u2014bigger = larger shell <\/strong>so the recommendation tends to lean that way.
    In reality, even though size S still needs padding the recommendation is “L or XL” <\/span><\/strong>
    taking that at face value when choosing your shell can be risky.
    In the end, you just have to try it on and feel the fit yourself.

    I’m definitely a clear shield person.
    There’s less glare than you’d think, and “just wear sunglasses” <\/strong>
    gives you absolutely more visual information… probably.

    This time with SHOEI “Glamster BLAST” TC-2, Size S <\/strong>
    I’ve added 2mm of sponge to the cheek pads (left and right on the cheeks).
    With this, it’s still loose. <\/span><\/strong>
    I’m changing the cheek pads from the standard 35mm to 39mm. <\/span><\/strong>
    I like how the helmet doesn’t move even when I shake my head up and down or side to side. <\/span><\/strong>
    Whether accelerating hard or facing strong wind, having the helmet stay locked in place with your head makes you less fatigued.

    The interior and fit are surprisingly excellent.
    I’m at the point where I don’t think I’ll buy Arai anymore…
    Head shape varies, so it’s more like “this worked great for me.” <\/strong>

    And it’s unbelievably light <\/span><\/strong>.

    I’m such an Urashima Tar\u014d that I’m slowly experiencing how fast the world moves and changes.
