Basically, I remove it and apply it to the shallow part of the threads, then assemble\u2014the tightening feel is great.
Even with a torque wrench, it feels secure.

Manufacturer = worried about it coming loose (can’t predict how it’ll be used worldwide = safety?). Technician = worried it won’t stay tight during work and will loosen and fall off.
If a bolt won’t come out\u2014it’s not just the threadlocker\u2014but if it breaks deep in the threads, that’s a problem, so applying threadlocker to the shallow part = slightly safer. Please make your own judgment.

Oil inspection window. Replace it every few years and you get that “Wow, so much clearer!” moment.

The shape is somewhat acrobatic. Want to relocate it \u2192 no space. Do something complicated and you can install it anywhere = costs go up. This balance is what I deal with every day.
