\nThe chain line clearance on the cover side differs slightly between the 1100 and 1200.
\nThere’s a possibility of contact when it sags, so let’s grind it out for clearance.<\/p>\n

\nCut and ground it out.<\/p>\n

\nIt touches the frame slightly, so it’s good to file it down properly.<\/p>\n

\nWe want 2\u20133 mm of clearance. That’s how we filed it down.<\/p>\n

\nBefore transplanting the release, it’s better to check it first.
\nIt looks like it’s never been opened since it was new.<\/p>\n

\nLet’s replace the cup and back cover too.<\/p>\n

\nWe polish it and then assemble. It came out looking like new. Once assembled it won’t show, but the feel and performance during assembly are both excellent.<\/p>\n

\nI’m really amazed these days. A ground lever like this for just a few thousand yen, and it’s even anodized. I’m blown away.<\/p>\n

\nThe brake side has a slight issue. The bolt won’t pass unless the piston is pushed in a bit. There’s almost no dead stroke. It’s a little scary, so let’s grind and adjust it.<\/p>\n

\nAfter grinding and fitting, grinding and fitting about ten times, it finally feels okay.
\nParts like this are scary if you don’t check them before assembly.<\/p>\n
