\nThat indescribable color has been there since the beginning. I think magazines back in the ’90s were going for under 10,000 yen or something… my memory’s fuzzy… so much time has passed since then…<\/p>\n

\nIt’s good to check the starter clutch bolt from the left side first for peace of mind.<\/p>\n

\nI’ll apply thread sealant to the dowel pin so it doesn’t rust\u2014that’ll make things easier next time.<\/p>\n

\nI replaced the cover bolts too. I’ll skip the right side.<\/p>\n

\nIt looks like fuel is seeping from the L-shaped joint connection.<\/p>\n

\nThis was my first time removing it, but it seems to be basically press-fit. The groove is shallow, so there’s no room for an O-ring, I think?<\/p>\n

\nIt’s a bit of an unconventional approach, but for now: I clean it, apply Variegelta (fuel-resistant grease), and push it in. Since it resists gasoline, it also has stopping power. It’s holding for now, so let’s see how it goes.<\/p>\n

\nThe frame side where the stand is fixed is a bit loose, so I’ll check that. Still, it’s in pretty rough shape.<\/p>\n

\nRust and chain oil buildup\u2014quite the combination.<\/p>\n
