\nWe applied yellow film to give it that period-correct look.
\nThis film has excellent clarity and applies beautifully. Maybe I should sell it\u2026<\/p>\n

\nThe front screen polishes up to a shine with our secret compound.<\/p>\n

\nWork we should have checked last time: the stand was hitting the fairing, so we made adjustments.
\n*Fitting before painting is extremely important. Post-paint finishing is tough, and pulling during installation can lead to cracks later.<\/p>\n

\nWe made a small patch with shearing, tack-welded it, and finished with paint.
\nWhen you don’t have to worry about fine adjustments, it feels a lot easier mentally.<\/p>\n

\nMystery air leaks\u2014about six spots on each side.<\/p>\n

\nSince we replace them here, they’re not that dirty\u2026<\/p>\n

The leaking spots had a feathery corrosion pattern. Did tire wax residue cause the corrosion? This is a first for me.<\/p>\n

\nWe polished the tire side carefully and sealed it up perfectly.<\/p>\n

\nSynchronization check: the carburetors had drifted quite a bit.<\/p>\n

\nWe changed the oil to Newtech NC50 10W-50.<\/p>\n

\nThe early model uses a super rare filter, so we swapped in a union adapter so it can use the current filter. It’ll be convenient to source anywhere.<\/p>\n
