\nThe RVF400 seems to have the fewest parts among the V-twins… but it’s still a lot of work compared to a straight-four. Starting next time, V-twins will have an additional special charge. (A bold decision!)<\/p>\n

\nThe intake manifold was attached in a different spot, but when I compared it to a new one, it seemed like just a difference in the nubs. Since we’re replacing it anyway, the past doesn’t matter.<\/p>\n

\nAnyway… this V-twin is one where the carburettor won’t come off and the intake manifold won’t come off. This time the carb was already out, so that was lucky(?), but the intake manifold is already hard like plastic.<\/p>\n

\nIt’s faster to cut with nippers. (Just don’t let the debris fall.)<\/p>\n

\nDigital cameras are convenient… I can make my own manual this way and save it digitally, so no matter how bad my memory is, I’ve got it stored. It’ll be easy going forward.
\n*But I have to remember that I saved it…<\/p>\n

\nThree out of four are gone. If you tighten the top cover without removing the starter lever, it’ll probably jam, so be careful.<\/p>\n

\nAll four cylinders have this strange buildup… A mini air cleaner might be important.<\/p>\n

\nYou can’t see it well in close-ups, so that’s why I’m pointing at it.
