\nFirst, we’ll replace the intake manifold.
\nThe oil-cooled intake manifold shape is somewhat unusual. Once it’s discontinued, it’ll be a real problem\u2014especially for CVK models.<\/p>\n

OEM part prices tend to go up, not down. It might be a part worth buying and keeping on hand, since there’s no downside to stocking it.<\/p>\n

\nIt’s mounted on the cylinder head, so it’s in a harsh, high-heat environment.<\/p>\n

\nUnlike the GSXR, the mounting bolts aren’t Phillips head, so removal and installation is straightforward.<\/p>\n

\nThere’s some blowback\u2014pretty sharp condition, actually.<\/p>\n
