\nWell, Nissin. I actually disliked this master cylinder because of its poor feel.
\nBut after an OH, the feel comes through nicely. When it doesn’t, something’s probably wrong, right? There are new and old versions, so it’s a bit scary.<\/p>\n

\nAlways inspect both old and new. Peace of mind is what you want.<\/p>\n

\nIt’s coming back a bit. Use what works, and swap out what needs it \u2013 that’s the flow.<\/p>\n

\nMoving to the rear \u2013 it’s in decent shape. The cup was a bit worn.<\/p>\n

\nI’ll say it again: make sure to clean that hole on the left thoroughly.<\/p>\n

\nAfter that, it’s just inspection and assembly.<\/p>\n

\nI’m going to do a little extra work. The nut fastening on the back (a hard-to-reach spot) is a pain to work with. Installing helicoils in two spots takes only five minutes.<\/p>\n

As I get older, I think about how much time you save just by putting them in \u2013 it really adds up.<\/p>\n

It was held with a cable tie, so I fixed it with a simple bracket. (A shortcut, but it works.)<\/p>\n

\nSwapped the spark plug for a JR8B. Writing down the size is good for later reference.<\/p>\n

\nI’m also upgrading the plug cover to the later version.<\/p>\n

\nAir filter is OEM (the photo shows a used one).<\/p>\n

\nReplaced the starter motor O-ring \u2013 it was leaking badly.<\/p>\n

\nThe side stand was rattling, so I replaced the bolt and nut and locked it down tight!<\/p>\n
