Time flies, and 2025 is already coming to an end. Thank you so much for your continued support of Decoboco this year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Looking back, at the beginning of this year, I was filled with anxiety and anticipation, wondering “Can we really move this year?” It feels like just yesterday. Property hunting, organizing massive amounts of belongings, relocating the shop… honestly, there were moments when I felt like giving up. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But what kept me going was the warm support from all of you, especially my regular customers. Those who rushed to help, those who offered kind words, customers who waited for the relocation. Thanks to all of you, I was able to make a fresh start here in the Outer Boso region. Thank you, truly from the bottom of my heart. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, peaceful scenery spreads out beyond my window. The roads I drive on for test checks have few traffic lights, making it the perfect environment to check a bike’s condition. Every day I truly feel, “I’m so glad we moved here.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2026, I believe I can show you an even more powerful Decoboco from this new base. I’m also working hard on the blog (doing SEO optimization lately, haha!), so I’ll be sharing even more useful information. Please look forward to it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cleanup after demolishing the leftover shed was quite challenging. I thought all waste would be disposed of by the contractor, but…
I had to sort everything properly.

At that time in January, I was still operating in Tokyo, so my husband and I came on our days off (Mondays and Tuesdays) and sorted everything by hand.

The foundation started and the building came together in no time. It’s convenient to be able to watch the construction progress remotely, which is exciting.

The factory was completed and I made many trips back and forth in April and May to move things. I thought I had organized my belongings well, but there was still much more to do.


For those planning to relocate their shop in the future, “organize by boxes from now” <\/span> will make things easier later. <\/strong>

It wasn’t just about moving things; I also had to purchase necessary items and arrange the layout. During this period, I was constantly dealing with cancellations, contractors, and administrative procedures, which was really headache-inducing.

<\/span><\/strong> This was around the time I had completely evacuated Tokyo and moved to Chiba. I made the factory into an ideal rectangular shape, but figuring out the layout was really challenging.
The thing is, there were too few constraints, which was both good and bad.

I felt the agony of having too many choices.

For those planning to relocate their shop, “think about layout and space beforehand” is important. <\/span><\/strong>

There was a period when I didn’t have enough shelves and couldn’t get materials easily. I was constantly torn between throwing things away or buying new ones.
The classic moving phenomenon of
“I’m sure I have this, but I can’t find it”
also happened, which slowed progress. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was invited on a breakfast ride and took the ferry to Kurihama. It felt a bit luxurious to easily cross to Yokosuka by ferry.

I’ve already entered a world where you can’t tell what kind of shop this is.
Social media spreads wide, but reality stays narrow. <\/span><\/strong>
There’s a limit to what one person can do. The more you collect, the more difficult it becomes\u2014I’ve learned this painfully.
I think the best approach is to build long-term relationships with truly good people. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sodegaura Land Transport Bureau.

I’ve been there so many times now that I know the route and process completely.
Like anywhere else, the first time is the most nerve-wracking.

In the past half year, it’s only been crowded once. It’s basically empty\u2014the best inspection facility.
The only downside is having to take the highway to get there.
I leave at 8 AM, spend 30 minutes at the inspection facility, and I’m back at the factory by 10:30. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the scorching summer heat, I’m amazed by Chiba’s wide sky and blue sea. Final exterior work <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Summer means the sea! A sea you can reach instantly!
The incredible transparency and empty beaches amazed me.
The Outer Boso region is generally empty\u2014both roads and destinations.
I was moved by the wonderful nature so easily within reach. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unlike Tokyo, there are no tall buildings anywhere. I’m amazed every day at how vast the sky is.

Now it’s routine, but the back exterior work is complete. If I’d done it from the start, it would have been more affordable with less waste.

I was able to interact with nearly 100 people, both new and returning. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

October-December <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seven months have passed in a flash since the May relocation and move. Through crowdfunding and other means, I’ve met and interacted with nearly 100 people, both new and old.


I’m not working as frantically as I did in Tokyo, so there’s more time to relax and enjoy.
I’d like to be a place people casually drop by or a destination worth visiting.
If we haven’t met yet, please find time to stop by.

I’m gradually updating daily operations to a workable level.
I even had the long-awaited (?) nose surgery at year-end, so I can approach work in better condition.

I’m also researching nice shops around the Chiba Outer Boso area. It would be great to casually visit a caf\u00e9 or grab lunch.
