\nWe have to remove the carburetor, so it takes some work. The throttle cable will be our usual DIY throttle cable.<\/p>\n

\nThe Kawasaki throttle just plugs into the body. I thought about clamping it with a nut, but that won’t work, so we’ll do it the same way.<\/p>\n

\nWe settled on gunmetal for the holder after discussing it with the customer the other day. It honestly just looks like a slightly darker silver. My apologies.<\/p>\n

\nAlways install the stopper. The holder has threads cut into it for locking there. The included stopper bolt and nut are long so they work with any winding. A simpler look might actually be cooler.<\/p>\n

\nWe’ll replace the coolant. It was in a state where it looked either dark or slightly blackish.<\/p>\n

\nIf the radiator cap looks old, go ahead and replace it.<\/p>\n

\nWe rely on trusted NTK spark plugs.<\/p>\n

\nEmissions-controlled bikes have zero carbon buildup.<\/p>\n

\nWe made a slight adjustment to the synchronization.<\/p>\n

\nThe air filter was clean, which was reassuring.<\/p>\n

\nThe levers and pedals were already lubricated. We’ll clean them up this time and apply fresh grease.<\/p>\n

\nWhen you have things apart, cleaning and rust-proofing hard-to-reach spots will help keep everything in good shape longer.<\/p>\n
