The customer requested an inspection and Deco-mainte service.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-48935\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/P1690396-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\" \/><br \/>\nFirst, we clean the chain. We wipe it thoroughly and check for uneven stretch or kinking.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-48936\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/P1690397-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\" \/><br \/>\nThe rear axle had a very slight runout.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-48937\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/P1690398-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\" \/><br \/>\nThe rear caliper was in good condition. It feels like the return action is slightly sluggish. We&#8217;ll keep an eye on it going forward.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-48938\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/P1690399-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\" \/><br \/>\nWe apply anti-rust oil to the surface and then wipe everything down. It&#8217;s stock, but we keep in mind it&#8217;s a Brembo monobloc\u2014that matters.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-48939\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/P1690400-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\" \/><br \/>\nWe polished the small parts.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-48940\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/P1690401-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\" \/><br \/>\nWe also clean the bearing holes at times like this.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-48941\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/P1690402-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\" \/><br \/>\nThe 3R and 5R bearings seem to move quite a bit\u2014they&#8217;re always stiff when we remove them. We adjusted them. The damper was worn, but this time we made a shim by shearing to get by.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-48942\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/P1690403-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\" \/><br \/>\nThe front axle looks fine.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-48943\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/P1690404-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\" \/><br \/>\nWe clean the front bearing holes too.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-48944\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/P1690405-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\" \/><br \/>\nAnd ideally the underside of the fender as well.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-48945\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/P1690406-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\" \/><br \/>\nWe clean the front caliper and apply anti-rust protection here too.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-48946\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/P1690407-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\" \/><br \/>\nFor the front fork, we remove the dust seal, apply fork oil, and work it up and down to feel for rust or debris. Then we wipe it thoroughly and reassemble.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-48947\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/P1690408-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\" \/><br \/>\nWe apply anti-rust oil between the top and bottom, then wipe it off.<br \/>\nThe inner tubes are better off without rust.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-48948\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/P1690409-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\" \/><br \/>\nWe occasionally remove the levers, clean them, and apply lubricant.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-48949\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/P1690413-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\" \/> <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-48950\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/P1690414-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\" \/><br \/>\nSame with the pedals.
