\nWe disassembled it during Deco-mainte and were able to check the condition of each component. We also did some additional work. The 250’s tank looks really cool.<\/p>\n

\nWe’ll give the chain a thorough cleaning. Wiping it while rotating it lets you feel the condition of the chain.<\/p>\n

\nWe remove any removable parts and clean thoroughly.<\/p>\n

\nWe’ll replace worn parts and freshen things up.<\/p>\n

\nWe also clean the axle hole occasionally. Residual grease can sometimes cause grinding.<\/p>\n

\nThe distance collar is moving enough to fall off, so we’ll adjust it.<\/p>\n

\nWheel bearings don’t usually get rough these days. More often they tend to become loose. There’s quite a bit of play.<\/p>\n

\nThe axle shaft looks fine.<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nThe condition doesn’t look too bad.<\/p>\n

\nIt had some nice one-sided wear. We’ll replace it.<\/p>\n

\nAfter cleaning, we’ll lightly apply rust preventative oil and wipe it thoroughly. It has excellent rust prevention and dirt won’t stick as easily.<\/p>\n

Sometimes dirt that was hard to remove with soap will come off with this.<\/p>\n

\nThe front caliper looks to be in decent shape. It moves smoothly.<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nWe occasionally clean the throttle cable and replace the grease. If the wire isn’t broken, we want it to last a long time.<\/p>\n

\nWe’ll disassemble the throttle gear as much as possible, clean it, and apply fresh oil.<\/p>\n

\nThe underside of the front fender. It’s better to do these things when you can. It feels nice to have clean pants underneath.<\/p>\n

\nThe front axle was fine too.<\/p>\n

\nWe’ll clean the front axle hole too. There sure is a lot of unnecessary grease.<\/p>\n

\nIt’s brake disc reinforcement month. It definitely needed replacement.<\/p>\n
