The stock brake master surprisingly doesn’t come apart much. When the cup wears out, the dead stroke increases. <\/div>\n

\nWe have our shop’s super-ultra machine, so it comes out shiny in no time. When general maintenance includes restoration-like elements, the vehicle’s condition can be kept in pretty good shape. <\/div>\n

\nHonestly, there’s nothing tricky about this work. It’s just careful cleaning, inspection, quality check, and reassembly. <\/div>\n

\nWe’re replacing the chain and sprockets. They’re in pretty sharp condition. Tedious wiping and cleaning\u2026 <\/div>\n

\nWe clean the calipers. Looks like the piston got stuck somewhere and rotated. Well, it’s not in a meshing area, so we’ll let it slide this time. The piston operation was good. <\/div>\n

\nWe clean up small parts too while we’re at it. <\/div>\n

\nWe remove the speedometer cable during maintenance, clean it, and oil it. It’s not a part you can really feel the difference on, so we want to keep it from breaking. <\/div>\n
We also clean and oil the speedometer gear as much as we can disassemble. <\/div>\n

\nIt feels nice to clean the fender underside when you have it off. <\/div>\n

\nThe axle shaft was fine too. <\/div>\n

\nSometimes there’s a lot of grease left over, so it’s good to clean it up once in a while and check the bearings. <\/div>\n

\nLift the dust seal, oil the visible area well, move the dust seal up and down, and check for rust or anything unusual. I think that’s the way to do it. <\/div>\n

\nBetween the bottom and top, apply rust-preventive oil, work it in, and wipe it off. It rusts pretty easily, so rust prevention, rust prevention. <\/div>\n
