The cranking feels kind of heavy… and when it’s too light, there’s a hollow feeling to it, which is odd.
\nWith just the crank and piston, you can turn the cam chain by hand and it moves, so if there’s no abnormality, it’s usually something around the head or the cam chain.<\/p>\n

The cam chain tension showed no change whether tight or loose. I checked the holder.
\nThe cam and rocker arms are unusually clean\u2014meaning new\u2014with no signs of wear, which is reassuring.<\/p>\n
