\nThe size is completely different, so major relocation is necessary. Installation and function alone would be quick, but\u2026<\/p>\n

\nModern starter relays are convenient. First, they have a plastic body that looks waterproof.<\/p>\n

\nInstallation is easy! A U-shaped bracket makes for simple mounting and floating. No bolts or nuts needed for securing.<\/p>\n

\nAnd the unit itself has a 30A fuse built in, so no need for aftermarket installation. If it blows, everything shuts off.<\/p>\n

\nConnector plugs in with confidence. Check the polarity yourself.
\n\"\" Starter switch (+) and (-), plus constant 12V at two locations. There’s even a two-pole option for direct battery connections. Really helpful.<\/p>\n

\nI’m using the stock starter lead to avoid hassle (though I’ll shorten it). It has a connector too, which is a lifesaver.<\/p>\n

\nInstalled Honda sports grip heaters.<\/p>\n

\nThe throttle clearance is about 0.8mm thick and the throttle won’t move\u2026 I hand-filed just the travel area with a file.<\/p>\n

\nKeep it as straight and parallel as possible.<\/p>\n

\nBy the way\u2026 it’s almost a full day’s work.<\/p>\n

Measure the wire length, cut it, crimp, solder, clean the flux\u2014that’s one connection. Times many, all done neatly without excess length.<\/p>\n
