\nI skipped the lucky day update… but I had some material to work with, so that helped. I’m changing the bearings to 20mm inner diameter. Well, the axle was 20mm anyway.
\n17mm would work fine too. I could go up to about 25mm, but I’ll skip it because it’s too much hassle.<\/p>\n

\nI matched the overall width of the leftover distance collar, and the distance collar (provisional) is complete. I’ll remake it in aluminum since I’ll remove it during painting.<\/p>\n

\nI went with Sunstar Neo Classic for the disc.
\nIt’s 320mm on the GSX1100S. There’s no particular reason\u2014it just happened that the caliper and fork setup was 320mm.<\/p>\n

\nFork is Advantage Showa 41mm.
\nFree length 800mm.
\nExtension pressure with initial adjustment.
\nGrooved protrusion (inner tube).<\/p>\n

A very rare product? With such low demand, it seems like it might disappear.<\/p>\n

\nYou can adjust it by turning without tools.<\/p>\n

\nWithout the support, it becomes much simpler.
\nAfter I mill and finish the bottom case, the sketchy factor will go way up, you know?<\/p>\n

Working backward from the fork, wheel, and disc, I can finally see the fork span. I’ll source that span from the used market, mock it up to check for tank clearance, and then I want to make a custom one-off stem.<\/p>\n

Air-cooled bikes have fewer parts, so maybe progress will be faster than expected?
