When I checked it… the lightening holes are reversed! This old guy’s no good~
\nAs I was staring at the fender thinking “that can’t be right…”<\/p>\n

I can’t imagine the clamp boss going forward, and the direction of travel would be pointed.<\/p>\n

Quick search online<\/p>\n

I thought it was for the MK2, but it turned out to be for the Z1000ST. That makes sense.<\/p>\n

\nI’ve seen the fender hit the muffler once in a while, so I’m doing a full stroke check just in case.<\/p>\n

\nIt’s fine even if you turn the handlebars all the way.<\/p>\n

\nI’m using slim-head bolts for mounting. Considering that the fender will flex somewhat, I’m using the longest screw depth possible.<\/p>\n

\nThe front end was a bit sketchy. I’ve machined the speedometer gear width.<\/p>\n

\nWhen you do that, the disc center naturally shifts…
\nThere were washers and spacers in there originally. One of each is best.
\nDifferent thicknesses are a pain when you take them off.<\/p>\n

\nI’ll stamp “L” on the left one. That way anyone can handle it.<\/p>\n

\nAlright, almost done. Including older bikes, I’m not a fan of forcing the harness into the light case on naked bikes.<\/p>\n

I’ll drill a hole so it goes in smoothly without strain. It’s not common, but it also makes light case removal easier.<\/p>\n

\nI’m removing the old-school ugly co-grounded earth and soldering it to the turn signal side. Serviceability is up too.<\/p>\n

But here we’ve run into missing grommets and spacers on the brought-in turn signal, so we’re pausing for now~<\/p>\n
