\nThe oil seepage from the alternator is pretty bad, so we’re replacing the rubber and applying liquid gasket.
\nDegreasing and roughing up the surface might help with adhesion.<\/p>\n

Today we’re taking it easy without starting the engine.<\/p>\n

\nWe bundled things up to some extent, but there’s still a lot of wiring.<\/p>\n

We removed the tray, triangle plate, and fender we made, erased the marks, cleaned up spatter and burrs\u2014it’s surprisingly time-consuming. Being careful not to cut your hands or the wiring, keeping everything as safe as possible.<\/p>\n

\nThe area under the tank is a bit cleaner now.<\/p>\n

\nSuzuki-specific cable ties that don’t rub might be nice.<\/p>\n

\nThe headlight alignment nut plate is discontinued. Since we couldn’t find one, we made it.<\/p>\n

\nI eyeballed it and punched it out, but the vertical spacing ended up off. We had a punch die of the same width, but swapping it would be a hassle, so this is our service version.<\/p>\n

\nThe liquid gasket won’t dry, so while waiting I was cutting and pulling things out\u2014bang, bang!<\/p>\n

\nBurling is really nice\u2014it lightens things up, looks great, and adds dimension. I really love it.<\/p>\n

\nAlways install reflectors. I think of “inspection-compliant equals good manners” as you get older.<\/p>\n

\nSince I didn’t take photos, it looks like we haven’t done anything…<\/p>\n

The finishing work takes the most time.
\nWe can’t get the inspection done this week, so delivery will be next week.<\/p>\n
