\nThe bottom case, which had some corrosion progressing, came out like this. It turned out really clean. Sorry we don’t have a before photo.<\/p>\n

\nWe spray urethane clear coat so the corrosion won’t progress.

\nAnd the next day. The inner tubes on both sides had no issues.<\/p>\n

\nThe fork oil dirt is pretty moderate.<\/p>\n

\nWhen we can clean things up nicely and reassemble them, it feels good on our end too.<\/p>\n

\nThe standard SKF. Mysteriously, it seems strong against leaks. There was a vehicle before where nothing would stop the leak…
\nNew ones \u00d7 2 didn’t work. Didn’t work with Ariete. Didn’t work with a repurposed double spring oil seal. Didn’t work even when we disassembled the oil seal spring and shortened the overall length to tighten it more. Finally it stopped leaking with SKF, so I kind of became a believer from that experience.<\/p>\n

When new it’s definitely low friction, but after some use it’s actually pretty normal. You can really tell the difference when you stroke a used one that’s been removed.<\/p>\n

\nI’m not sure if it’s the secret, but we load fork oil inside the lip before assembly. We can’t recommend grease sealing because it deteriorates and gets crumbly.<\/p>\n

\nThe oil we use is 100% synthetic Newtech. Blending is also possible. The blend chart includes kinematic viscosity index, which is helpful.<\/p>\n

\nVacuum evacuation is really fast. We can do different work while that’s running, which saves time.<\/p>\n

\nIn the meantime, let’s lubricate the stem bearing.
\nThere’s still plenty left. This NC100 grease is really high-trust grease.

\nWith good amounts on both top and bottom, we’re set for a while.<\/p>\n

\nSince there’s no before photo, only the owner would know… maybe? It’s subtly clean and looks great.<\/p>\n

\nThe hugely popular neo-classic brake disk was requested.<\/p>\n

\nIt tightens up right away and feels really good. Currently waiting for the pads.<\/p>\n

\nThe bracket we made the other day had a mistake… the nav was forward and the bracket was forward\u2014we mixed them up. Well, if the usual way is fine, that’s easy. Takes a few minutes to bend.<\/p>\n

\nWeld it, polish it, and done.<\/p>\n

\nThat’s how it turned out. I don’t like Nissin radials because the tank sits higher due to the removal relationship.<\/p>\n
