\nThis is work from a little while back, but here’s the continuation.<\/p>\n

\nWhile parts are available, let’s put on a fresh fender. That’s the way to go. The bike really tightens up when the plastic parts look clean.<\/p>\n

\nLet’s replace the main ground wire while we’re at it. That black connector is where all the ground supply to the main harness comes from. I always think about it\u2014it’s amazing that something this thin does the job.<\/p>\n

\nWe’ll freshen up the terminal cover too. By the way, this one is for Honda.<\/p>\n

\nLet’s polish the support bracket and clean it up.<\/p>\n

\nThe meter was rattling around.<\/p>\n

\nWe didn’t find anything wrong. We’ll put in a new damper and adjust the floating step-down fit.<\/p>\n

\nThe fuel gauge was cloudy, so we replaced it. Sharp eye!<\/p>\n

\nThe oil line was a bit tight, so we’ll take care of that.<\/p>\n

\nThe GSX-R1100 round oil cooler hose can be used as-is, but it’s better to re-bend it to fit the bike.<\/p>\n

\nWe want some clearance without using cable ties or other fasteners.
\nMetal fasteners that don’t break down easily are one thing, but if the hose isn’t held down by cable ties and makes contact, you have to think: what if it breaks? So we need to be careful.<\/p>\n

\nThe oil cooler lower side must have a vibration damper. It shakes more than you’d expect.<\/p>\n

\nWe install it simply like this,<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nand we also enlarge the fairing side to make sure there’s absolutely no contact. That gives you peace of mind.<\/p>\n
