\nYou want the controls to be smooth. It’s nice when you can focus just on riding.<\/p>\n

\nI went with the newer setup.<\/p>\n

\nIf you can help it, don’t use thread locker.<\/p>\n

\nThe pin on the left caliper is stripped and won’t come out. There’s nothing I can do from the outside\u2026<\/p>\n

\nSplit it, welded the nut, and the pin broke.<\/p>\n

\nWelded again and it broke again.<\/p>\n

\nSo I decided to pry it out right at the edge.<\/p>\n

\nYou’d think I should use a milling machine, but I took a shortcut with the drill press. I guess when you get old, things just work out somehow.<\/p>\n

\nGot it out\u2014thank goodness.<\/p>\n

\nI don’t want any chips in there, so let me check.<\/p>\n
