\nThe other day it came back to life after fixing the fuse contact. But now it’s stopped lighting up again…<\/p>\n

\nWithout the bulb inserted, we get 12V OK! Ground is OK too! But when we insert it, it drops to mV.<\/p>\n

\nThis is a puzzler…<\/p>\n

\nAll we can do is keep tracking it down.<\/p>\n

\nMain switch \u2192 right switch \u2192 left switch \u2192 fuse \u2192 light. In that order.<\/p>\n

\nI suspected the easiest contact point: the switches. Both left and right checked out fine.<\/p>\n

Bypassing them made no difference either…<\/p>\n

\nOf all places, it was inside the switch itself. That was the culprit…<\/p>\n

\nLooking at the result, it’s a real “duh” moment. It wasn’t a break in the wire or anything like that. You learn something new every day.<\/p>\n
