\nFirst up is the generator damper replacement. It still had more elasticity than expected. Let’s swap it out and keep it running strong for years to come.<\/p>\n

\nThe generator connector looks like it might be starting to corrode.<\/p>\n

\nI removed it to check, but it turned out to be fine.<\/p>\n

\nThe area around the starter motor is oily. We can’t replace it without removing the generator. This is definitely an item we should add to future oil-cooled maintenance.<\/p>\n

\nThe engine damper showed nice wear patterns. Let’s swap it for the later model version.<\/p>\n

\nI’ll clean up the case side too.<\/p>\n

The cam shows no scuffing and is in good shape. The cam chain slack looks good too.
\nOverall clearance was running a bit wide, so I adjusted it.<\/p>\n

\nThe oil changes have been done regularly, so the engine is in clean condition.<\/p>\n

\nNow we just need to sync the carburetors and we’re done.<\/p>\n

\nThe #4 vacuum port cap was broken, so I swapped it for a used one.<\/p>\n

After a test ride, we’re finished.<\/p>\n
