\nRemarkably simple construction\u2014really impressive.<\/p>\n

\nIt’s 50 to 60 years old, but it still looks incredibly fresh today. The engine is surprisingly large for a 250cc.<\/p>\n

\nIt came off easily\u2014good news. I’m taking it slow and steady to make sure nothing breaks or snaps.<\/p>\n

\nIt’s a strange structure I’ve never seen before.<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nThere’s no choke\u2014it looks like it uses a tickler to overflow the carburettor.<\/p>\n

\nThe float is brass too\u2014lovely.<\/p>\n

\"\" \"\"
\nThe float is on the cap side… that’s pretty cool.<\/p>\n

\nIt’s corroded and the body has some rust.<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nVarious parts smell, but it’s not too bad overall.<\/p>\n

\nCompletely unusual construction.<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nSo far, nothing has come loose or broken\u2014reassuring.<\/p>\n

\nThe screws use lock nuts. Japanese carburetors used lock nuts for synchronization not that long ago either.<\/p>\n

\nThe gaskets come in awkward sizes like 7mm and 9mm.<\/p>\n
