\nContinuing on\u2026 there’s actually quite a lot to do.<\/p>\n

\nI left it all scattered and disassembled, so I have no idea which bolts are tight, where I put the parts, or how far along I got.<\/p>\n

No wonder my motivation went out the window.<\/p>\n

\nWhen I thought something felt off\u2026 sure enough, the carburetor was clogged too.
\nNasty smelly stuff came out of it. Since it’s my own bike, I just removed the bottom and gave it a good spray.<\/p>\n

\nSomething smelled off\u2026 turned out the tank had a crack in it, so I repaired it with solder. I’m not about to go through the hassle of TIG welding every time.<\/p>\n

Pinholes are no problem at all. Steel and solder get along great.<\/p>\n

\nThe STACK8130 displays all kinds of information. You can see water temperature and oil temperature. Since I had the chance, I added sensors at the inlet and outlet of the oil cooler. I wonder how much difference there is.<\/p>\n

\nThe mirrors are big OEM units too. Modern mirrors are easy to see out of and simple to adjust. The pivot loosens without affecting the main shaft, so it moves smoothly.<\/p>\n

Lately I’ve been realizing that my old habit of thinking smaller is better or more racer-like was just youthful folly.<\/p>\n
