\nWe create a retaining feature with a bead roller.<\/p>\n

\nWe weld it flat against the surface.<\/p>\n

\nVery nice and clean, I’d say.<\/p>\n

I happen to have an engine I just pulled, so let’s fit it.<\/p>\n

\nWe remove the heat discoloration and make it even simpler.<\/p>\n

\nWe polished this one too. No photo of the finished result.<\/p>\n

\nThe carburettor case is now empty, so on to the next carburettor.<\/p>\n

\nThe intake manifold is pretty stiff too\u2014if this area gives out, it’ll be really tough. It’s still working, but I’m worried when it might stop.<\/p>\n

\nThe condition is excellent overall.<\/p>\n

\nLooking at this block, it’s obvious at a glance\u2014there’s barely any wear.
\n*By the way, the block is not available as a separate part.<\/p>\n

\nA little rust too.<\/p>\n

\nThe joint seal was broken off.<\/p>\n

\nBut this design uses multiple rows of O-rings connected together, so it won’t leak at this level.<\/p>\n

We’re holding off for now after disassembly.<\/p>\n
