\nI want to keep the Moriwaki slider intact, so I’ll check the best position and first create clearance on the cowl side.<\/p>\n

\nI’ll punch out this kind of material too. A hole saw won’t work in this position, and I don’t like Velsan because it’s dusty. Having the right tools really lets you work quickly, cleanly, and smoothly.<\/p>\n

\nI’ll cut the fastener bracket, weld it, and fix it in place.<\/p>\n

\nThat’s how it goes.<\/p>\n

\nI’ll grind it and remove the heat discoloration.<\/p>\n

\nIt mounts in a pretty tight spot. I didn’t want to drill holes in the cowl, so I used existing holes. (I only drilled one new hole.)<\/p>\n

\nIt went on smoothly.<\/p>\n

\nChecking it, it’s pretty tight. The oil cooler sticks out, and it’s quite snug overall.<\/p>\n

\nLoosen the cap and jack it up.<\/p>\n

\nI’ll reuse the fittings that are still good. Strangely, they came out cleaner than new ones. Easy-cut stainless corrodes readily.<\/p>\n

\nAny other configuration won’t work, so I went with the Suzuki style.<\/p>\n

\nNow nothing interferes.<\/p>\n
