\nInspecting the seals and pistons. Yamaha applies grease quite liberally, so I’ll wipe it all off.<\/p>\n

\nI don’t use grease in the caliper seal grooves. It hardens over time and can seize up. Also, when you thoroughly wash a caliper, grease and moisture mix together, which I think could lead to corrosion. I believe using something with better fluidity, like metal rubber, would improve operation and prevent corrosion better.<\/p>\n

\nI also wipe down the caliper body with rust preventative oil before assembling it.<\/p>\n

\nThe customer wanted the master tank swapped out for an H2 unit. I made a simple bracket that doesn’t get too fancy.<\/p>\n

I wanted that solid, reassuring feel you get from aluminum plate with bolt and nut fastening.<\/p>\n

\nI personally dislike co-tightening, but it’s the best no-fuss approach.<\/p>\n
