\nWith a customer’s bike, you never know where or who might see it, and since I don’t install things with the assumption I’ll have to redo them, fabricating the parts takes time. (That’s my excuse, anyway.)<\/p>\n

I welded fasteners to the bent sheet metal. I even skip riveting.<\/p>\n

\nA bikini fairing is great because you can put it on and take it off easily, so you get to enjoy two different looks.<\/p>\n

Using fasteners for installation gives you both good looks and good workability.<\/p>\n

\nIt hits the meter, so the fairing is apologizing a little bit.<\/p>\n

\nA pretty eerie white fairing. I actually don’t hate how it looks.<\/p>\n

I found this rubber spray stuff, so I tried painting with it.<\/p>\n

\nThe fairing surface was smooth, so I didn’t want to do surface prep. I warmed up the base material while painting, then force-dried it with a heat gun. There’s definitely some grain texture to it.<\/p>\n

\nIt’s got a pretty mysterious vibe, and I’m the only one satisfied with it, I think?<\/p>\n

It’s nice to have a bike that actually runs.<\/p>\n

What should I do with the GS1000S… I dunno.<\/p>\n
