\nThanks to the racy fairing, the handlebars are so low it hurts the back. The owner asked if we could raise them a bit.<\/p>\n

\nFull lock is pretty tight, but if we reduce the turning angle it’ll be fine, so let’s bring it to a reasonable range.<\/p>\n

\nThankfully the M5 threads are already cut. That helps.<\/p>\n

\nWe reduce and reduce until handlebar lock is possible.<\/p>\n

\nThe area under the fuel cap was dirty, so we cleaned it up.<\/p>\n

\nLet’s clean the chain. Work it over really well. When the chain is clean, the bike looks clean too.<\/p>\n

\nThe bearings were replaced before. They’ve settled in nicely and are in excellent condition.<\/p>\n

\nEven if it’s just for looks, we want it clean. It also prevents rust and makes a subtle difference.<\/p>\n

\nWe lightly polished the pad springs.<\/p>\n

\nCleaning the caliper is good, but water gets in and causes rust. I think it’s worth replacing occasionally.<\/p>\n

\nWe replace the bolts too and apply long-term rust preventative to the surface. It prevents rust, looks great, and lasts longer.<\/p>\n

I believe the first priority is to keep parts clean and prevent rust.<\/p>\n
